This confined space course is designed for people required to work in confined spaces under supervision of the employers authorised persons.
This course is recognised by Billion & BlueScope.
Course Topics:
- Relevant OHS legislation , standards - AS/NZ 2865:2009 and codes of practice.
- Identify, assess and control confined space hazards for confined space for entry
- Selection of safety equipment and PPE
- Working in accordance with confined space documentation and emergency procedures.
- Atmospheric Evaluation
- Methods of isolation
- Roles and responsibilities.
Course duration: 6 hours
Onsite training also available.
NOTE: More advance training is required for people who plan and or supervise confined space work e.g. a standby person or confined space supervisor. (see other related listed courses).
Assessment: End of course assessment.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive `Statement of Attainment` in the following units:
- MSAPOHS200A Work safely
- MSAPMER200B Work in accordance with issued permit
- MSAPMPER205B Enter confined space.
