This approved WorkCover course is designed for those who had completed the previous 4 day Course in OHS Consultaion and are looking at becoming Health and Safety Representatives under the new WHS Act 2011.
The role of the HSR is to facilitate the flow of information about health and safety between the Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU - the new term that includes employers) and the workers in their work group.
Please note: If you have not completed the former 4 day NSW WorkCover Course in OHS Consultation you must attend the 5 Day HSR Training Course.
Course content:
- Work Health and Safety Framework.
- Consultation, Representation and Participation.
- Issue Resolution, Support for HSRs.
- Managing Risks and Notifiable Incidents.
- Provisional Improvement Notices and directing unsafe work to cease.
Certification
At successful completion of this course you will receive a WorkCover Health and Safety Representative Bridging Course Certificate
