This course is for any person required to control traffic using a Stop-Slow bat. It allows participants to understand the role of a Traffic Controller and apply the procedures of traffic controlling within a worksite. This course meets both RTA and WorkCover requirments. PLEASE NOTE: A VALID OHS GREEN CARD IS A PREREQUISTE FOR THIS COURSE. YOU MUST BRING STEEL CAPPED BOOTS AND PHOTO ID TO THE COURSE.
Any potential applicant for training must possess:
1) A NSW P2 driver’s licence (Green P's) or
2) A NSW unrestricted driver’s licence that has class “R” (rider) only or
3) A licence from another Australian State or Territory that is the equivalent or better than the above points 1 and 2 or
4) Previous history of having a P2 licence (minimum) at some stage or
5) Current Traffic Control ticket using a Stop/Slow Bat.
Overseas Licence holders
A licence from another country that is the equivalent or better than the above points. ie applicant has been driving unsupervised (i.e. not on a learner’s permit) for 12 months or more. This may be established via the issue date or other details printed on their overseas licence. Any translations should be done at the applicant’s time and expense.
What you need to wear: You must wear steel capped shoes for this course. If you do not have steel capped shoes you will be required to purchase the shoes on the day for $65.00.
