APPLY TRAFFIC CONTROL PLANS – YELLOW CARD TICKET

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is required by any person who is required to set up and work with a Traffic Control Plan (TCP). This can include, laying out cones, barricades, hats, bollards and traffic management devices.

This course is also suitable for staff who are not controlling traffic with a stop/slow bat, but who are setting out signs, cones & barriers. Holders of a NSW RTA Traffic control (Blue Card) are sometimes required to have the Yellow card so that they can do both traffic control and site layout.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Set up and Close down traffic control devices according to a nominated TCP, to OHS and legislative requirements.
  • Identify safety implications of traffic control at road works and personal responsibilities.
  • Operate a 2-way radio correctly and effectively.
  • Check, clean and store equipment on completion of work and close down a TCP.

Please note: You must hold a current WorkCover NSW Induction Card for Construction (Green / White Card)

This course is valid for 3 years from the date of training.
