ABOUT THIS COURSE
The NSW White Card – formally known as the Construction Induction Card is mandatory for anyone who works or visits a construction site in New South Wales. Whether you’re a tradesperson, labourer, supervisor, or site visitor, you must hold a valid White Card before setting foot on any NSW construction site.
Advance Consulting & Training (RTO 91534) is an approved SafeWork NSW provider of the CPCWHS1001 unit — Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry. Complete your White Card in one day, face-to-face in Sydney or via live Zoom virtual classroom from anywhere in Australia.
What You'll Learn
- Work health and safety (WHS) legislation and your legal obligations as a worker
- How to identify and report hazards on construction sites
- Risk assessment and safe work method statements (SWMS)
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) — correct use and limitations
- Emergency procedures, first aid basics, and incident reporting
- Hazardous materials awareness including asbestos and silica dust
ID REQUIREMENTS
You must fulfil the 100 points identification requirements prior to attending this course. For information on the Identification requirements please refer to the Evidence of Identity Form. Please complete section 1 and 2 (if appropriate) of the Evidence of Identity Form prior to the course. If you’re unable to print the form, a copy will be provided to you on the day.
IMMI card holder please contact our office prior to making your booking.
Failure to provide 100 points of identification on the day will result in rebooking fee.
USI (Unique Student Identifier)
As you are undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a USI in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment. Please apply for your USI prior to attending the course here.
For Zoom Participants
To complete the course remotely via Zoom, you must have a reliable internet connection, PC/Laptop or Mobile device with working camera, speaker and mic.
You must also have the following PPE on the day:
- Hard hat
- Safety Goggles
- Safety Vest
- Ear protection – ear plugs or ear muffs
The above PPE can be supplied for an additional $50 including postage cost (within Sydney Metro, additional cost may apply for regional areas)

How long does it take to get a White Card?
Most participants complete the course in one day. A Statement of Attainment is issued upon successful completion, with the physical White Card posted shortly after sent by SafeWork NSW. You will also receive a temporary certificate so you can commence work on the construction site immediately.
Is the White Card course compliant with SafeWork NSW requirements
Yes. This course meets the requirements of CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry and is delivered in line with SafeWork NSW and national WHS standards.
